Contact lens wear can be hugely liberating and gives you freedom from glasses allowing you to experience new looks and different activities.
To determine what contact lenses are right for you, we will take you through the following process:
A comprehensive eye examination to assess the overall health of your eyes, including checking visual acuity, assessing eye health, and determining your current eyeglass prescription.
Discussion and Evaluation of your lifestyle, preferences, and any specific visual requirements. Factors such as work environment, sports activities, or any eye conditions are taken into consideration to recommend the most suitable type of contact lenses.
A corneal examination to determine the appropriate size and shape of the contact lenses. We may also evaluate the tear film and assess the moisture level of the eyes.
Based on the information gathered, we will provide trial lenses to assess how the contacts fit your eyes and test the suitability of the prescription. The patient will be taught how to insert, remove, and care for the lenses.
If the trial lenses are successful, a contact lens prescription is provided. Follow-up appointments are scheduled to ensure the lenses are comfortable and the vision is optimal. Adjustments may be made if necessary.
Patients will receive guidance on proper lens care, hygiene practices, and the importance of following wearing schedules to maintain healthy eyes while wearing contact lenses.
